China Glaze Dorthy Who

Good evening dolls!!

Hope you all had a great weekend, and a good Monday. Well I guess as good as a Monday can be. I had a very productive weekend at work, and dyed my hair, ill post a pic once I get a color accurate one, but its now a black purple. Definitely loving it.

But onto the nails, today I have for you guys China Glaze Dorthy Who. Its a blue glitter polish that goes full opaque in 3 coats. Definitely a very stunning polish.

I appologize for the crappy picture, but the light just wasn't working with me. I have the box for my light box so hopefully some point this week I get it made. But this polish is definatly a must have. Ive owned it for a while and never tried it and cant figure out why ha ha.

I'm going to keep continuing my untrieds so defiantly keep an eye out. Hope you all have a great nite!

Julep Sandra

Hey dolls!!!!

Hope you all had a great week!!! Mine was pretty good, caught up with an old co worker, starting playing WoW again, hung with my bestie, seen the niece and nephews today, and got a job promotion!!!! Ill have my own store as of November and I cant wait!!!! So needless to say this week has been busy. I did however paint my nails a few times this week. Once was China Glaze Dorthy Who and the other was Julep Sandra, as im trying to use my untried's :)

I was very pleasantly surprised with Julep Sandra, Its an awesome almost neon/metallic pink. I cant figure out why I haven't tried this before. It only took 2 coats and applied really well.

Isn't it gorgeous??? I kept looking at my nails even thou they were just a solid color. definitely gonna be getting some use out of this next summer.

Tomorrow ill show you all Dorthy Who, but for tonight its now bed times for me. Hope you all have a great weekend <3

Catrice Dirty Berry

Good morning dolls!!!!

I know this is a really early post, and its because tonight when I get home ill be nerding it up so my nails will not take priority for once. This morning the new World of Warcraft expansion was released so of course I bought it and cant wait to be a Panda!!!!!!! So just a quick apology for the lack of posting that there will be in the next few days. I really need to learn to do scheduled posts. Maybe ill try to for my vacation in a few weeks. But onto the nails!!!

Ive decided that I need to start working through my stash and using my untried. So today I have Catrice Dirty Berry for you. This is a dusty purple holo. It applied like a dream and only took 2 coats. The holo in it is stunning even in doors. Its definatly a perfect fall color, and im so happy to have this in my collection.

Look at that beauty!!!!!! Definitely glad I choose this color and it will be on till at least tomorrow hehe. Hope you all have a great day and Ill try and pull myself away from WoW to get back to you guys asap <3

FiA: Cloudy Days

Hello Lovelies!!!

Today's post I am sooooo happy with. Not only did I try my first saran wrap manicure using 4 colors but I also stamped over it. So for the Cloudy Day manicure, I was going to create dark clouds on my nails using saran wrap.

I started out with 2 coat of China Glaze Immortal, which is dark grey with blue and pink shimmer in it from there Halloween collection. Once dry I used saran wrap and dabbed on Julep Jessica, China Glaze Kinetic Candy, and Billie French White. Once those were all dry I dabbed on a bit of China Glaze Immortal. I then added one coat of Finger Paints Sparkle Top Coat, to make it look like the clouds are wet from raining.

I loved my nails like that but then I decided I haven't stamped in a while since Ive been soo busy frankening that I decided to use my BM-312 plate and stamp clouds over it using Konad Black. And I think the stamp completed it all. I am in love with how well this manicure turned out :)

FiA: School Spirit

Hey dolls

It took me a very long time to decide on what to do for this manicure. its been soo long since Ive been in school I was completely stumped on what to do. So I decided to go out of the box abit and use school lights, and disco balls from the dances as my inspiration.

I used 4 coats of Models Own Juicy Jules for this manicure. my nails seriously looked like a disco ball.

I must say this polish is gorgeous the holo glitter in it is awesome. in the sun light its like a million times better and i would have taken a picture if i didnt get dented :(

Franken: Witches Brew

Woo 2 posts in one day, seems like im back on a roll. Lets see if I can actually keep it up this time ;)

So last night I couldn't resist and had to tr one of my new Halloween polishes as a full mani. And of course since im in love with Witches Brew so much and have gotten so many compliments on it, I had to try it first.

I started out with 2 coats of Orly Liquid Vinyl, and then did 1 layer of Witches Brew, which is a clear base with orange, purple and black glitter. I apologize for the pictures, they really dont do this polish justice. But i promise ill be making a light box in the very near future :)

I cant believe how much I love this polish. I never thought I would love something that I made this much but this is sooooo me!!!! So glad I put this on. Oh and I tried it without the glue base coat because I finally got my little nail soakers for removing stubborn polish yesterday so ill do a review on those as well.

Have a great day everyone <3

Final two Halloween Frankens

Hello dolls!!!

Last night when I got home from work I decided to create my last two Halloween polishes.
I decided to try doing more in tinted bases so I came up with Zombie Rot and Pumpkin Guts.

Zombie Rot is a green base with purple and black glitter in it. I can either build it up to opacity or layer it over a green or black.
For the swatches its 3 coats, 1 coat over China Glaze Paper Chasing, 1 coat over black.

I must say I love how it looks over black. The green shimmer transforms it into almost a dark green.

Pumpkin Guts is a orange base with black, white, orange and yellow glitter. For this polish i was inspired by the inside of a pumpkin. Again I can build this one up to opacity or layer it over a orange or a black.
For the swatches its 2 coats alone, and 1 coat over black.

I think overall I love all the polishes I made layered over black. I just think that glitter looks so sharp when you layer it over black no mater what the color.

I have loved making polishes for Halloween, cant wait for Christmas to make more themed ones!!!!

My Halloween Frankens :)

As promised yesterday, today I have a post on the Halloween polishes that I made yesterday. Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year. I love the cool make-up, extreme lashes, and awesome costumes. And i also love the colors and the creative polishes that come out around then. So of course I had to make some of my own polishes for me to wear next month :).

I want to make 6 all together but for now I have 4.
Oger Brains, Hallows Eve, Witches Brew, and Sweets N Treats.

Oger Brains is a clear base polish with a ton of different shapes, sizes and tones of green glitter. I really wanted an all green glitter, as its defiantly a representation of Halloween but also can be worn any time of the year.
For the swatches its 2 coats alone, 1 coat over black, and 1 coat over China Glaze Paper Chasing.

Hallows Eve is a black jelly base with different sized Orange glitter with a few black glitter. This one is supposed to be kind of erie. I wanted a true Halloween polish and figured black and orange were the way to go.
For the swatches its 1 coat, 2 coats, and 3 coats. Then 1 coat over black.

Witches Brew is a clear base polish with different orange, purple, and black glitter. I absolutly love orange and purple together so this is the one I was most excited for.
Its inspired by which leggings he he.
For the swatches its 2 coats alone, 1 coat over white and 1 coat over black.

And lastly is Sweets N Treats, which is a clear base with orange, yellow and white glitter, in different shapes and sizes. I was trying to go towards the candy that you get around Halloween, mostly candy corn which you dont really see the rest of the year.
For the swatches its 1 coat alone and 1 coat over black.

I defiantly love this collection so far. I think I have a good assortment going on and cant wait to wear some of these out. Definitely will be wearing Witches Brew first as I cant even stress enough how much I love it. Its so much fun creating your own polishes, my glitter stash is slowly growing :)

China Glaze Immortal

Hey lovelies!!!!

Hope you all are having a great week!!! Yesterday at my work the Halloween polishes came in and of course I had to buy some of the new China Glaze ones. I picked up Glitter Goblin, Immortal and Cast A Spell, from the Wicked collection.

Glitter Goblin is an orange and silver holographic glitter. Immortal is a medium grey with blue and pink micro shimmer. And Cast A Spell is a very dark green with orange micro shimmer.

I painted my toes with Cast A Spell and its stunning, however I want make you guys stare at my toes so ill do it as a manicure some time soon :) But for today's manicure I decided to use Immortal since I love a good grey polish :)

For this manicure I used 2 coats. It applied perfectly and is definitely not what id call a typical Halloween polish, but it is stunning!!!!

I always seem to love China Glazes Halloween collections. Very rarely do they seem to disappoint with them.

Now after getting these yesterday, it inspired me to play with some glitter and create my own. So this morning I made 4 new polishes. Ill show you then in a post tomorrow thou :).

Hope you all have a great day!!!! XO

Creativity Challenge : Sports

Hey dolls!!!!

I'm sooo sorry that I've been MIA for a week. Last Sunday I started reading 50 Shades of Grey, Ive read all 3 books since. I was absolutly hocked on them. The story behind them is actually really good and captivating. Sadly thou my nails did get put aside this week. I wore my last manicure until Thursday night, I then finally changed it but of course didnt have time to do a blog port due to the book. But i finished those last night and im now back!!!!

So for today's post I have a franken I made for a Creativity Challenge I have in a group. This polish is supposed to represent "Sports". I decided to make one for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

For this polish I used different blue and white glitter in a clear base.

For the swatches its one coat, one coat over CG Kinetic Candy, and one coat over black.

I decided to wear one coat over black and I loved it. Be sure to check out in the next week for a "Fall" inspired polish. I really love playing with glitter, I just got 11 more and have 13 more on the way. So ill defiantly be playing alot in the near future. And I promise to be back more now <3

AiS: Toxic or Poisonous

Hello lovelies!!!

I hope you all have had a great weekend. I know mine has been pretty good, getting to go to the fair yesterday even thou it rained for most of the day. But I still made the most of it.

Today however I have the Adventures in Stamping sunday challenge for you, which is Toxic or Poisonous. Since im still loving my apple nails and didnt want to fully take it off, I decided to expand on it. In case you didnt see the apple post I created them using Orly Fresh and Nina Ultra Pro Electric Slide.

I ended up removing my pinkie, pointer and middle fingers. I then did 3 coats of China Glaze Sun-Kissed on them. Once dry I did a layer of my franken `Apple Blossom the middle finger. I then stamped a skull on my pinkie and pointer fingers using Konad Black and my MLS-05 plate.

So obviously I decided to go the poisonous apple route. I like how the colors are so bright and I think the glitter ties the green adn yellow together. Of course the apple is also fitting as were getting into fall and apple picking season!!!

Any who dolls I hope you enjoy it and have a great sunday!!! <3

Hello lovelies!!!

Sorry for being so MIA this week. It has been one crazy week at work. I ended up wearing my back to school nails till last night, I changed them to Zoya Carly and of course after a 10 hr day at work I forgot to take a picture of them :( And today they were too chipped.

I then topped those of with Nina Ultra Pro Electric Slide *Its a brand new core color, they just redid there whole line, new bottles and brush, same great formula thou*. Once all that was dry I drew on the stems, leafs, and shine with a Green Stripe Rite, Art Club Black, and Finger Paints Hip Hip Hue-ray.
